Facebook groups are a great place to meet people who share your interests and to subtly promote your book. For maximum exposure, join existing groups and start your own Facebook group.
Many churches today have embraced digital technology and have begun to instagram videos of their sermons. Post these videos on your Facebook profiles, blogs, and anywhere else you can think of. If you church has not been able to download instagram photos yet, help them. YouTube is completely free and easy to use.
Put yourself in your video, and not just physically. Tell a short story about your experience with the product. Tell your viewers about your knowledge. Use each video to help your audience get to know you better. Don’t come on too strong though; instead, give viewers a peek of who you are with each video.
If you plan to host a forum, you will need a special installation of the forum application. See if your host offers that feature. If that feature is available, see how easy it is for you to manage that forum.
Second, develop the outlines of your content before you ever sit down in front of the camera. Notice I didn’t say to write a script. You do want to have a compelling title and theme for you video, and you should have a bullet point list of the main subject areas you want to cover. Just don’t overdo the scripting because you will likely come across as unnatural to the viewer.
Honesty and transparency are of the utmost importance in ethical marketing, and videos are no exception. When making videos, be transparent and do them for the benefit of your customers. If you want to sell something, explain why you want to sell it. Develop relationships with your customers and viewers through your comments. Work with other business owners and become an expert at what you do.
After your customers have bought a service or product, cross-sell related products; send your customers an online product sheet or catalog that contains links to related items that might interest them. For example, if you run a site for books and they have bought a cookbook, send them links to all the other cookbooks you offer. You can increase your sales by targeting you marketing efforts based on past purchases.
